I'm so excited, I have a vintage house tucked in my closet! Before I moved I had a place to display it. But not in my new home! What a great idea and I have a perfect spot in the back yard! Thanks! You have made my day! My dad found mine in his neighbor's trash, furniture and all! Now that's a find!

Lol! Birds are stubborn critters.

Ha! I guess that is exactly where the term bird-brained comes from 🙂 They're not know for their smarts, or design choices!

Those birds are just not sensible or dependable! Bird-brained, that's what they are. Maybe next summer you'll have a smarter crowd. That is, if you give the another chance! I'd live in that house if it was big enough!

Now they like it better under your covered porch. I like it as part of your fall display. Do birds need houses except when they're raising young? Hmm, never thought about that...do they even need a house right now? You took care of that need though!

So are you saying I was trying to cook the birds 🙂 That does make total sense though!

I love the way it looks on your porch. I can imagine a "closed for the season" sign on the boarded-up front.

Such uncooperative birdies you're growing in Ohio, Pam. Your birdhouse on a ladder is adorable and I hope you aren't attacked while you're moving it indoors. I have visions of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" and you'd be Tippi Hedren. Better wear a hat when you move it.
