I'm 67, grew up and still have those wonderful vintage ornaments for our Christmas tree, the bells still tinkle when touched, being hand painted and breakable our children and grandchildren aren't interested in them, preferring the modern decorations, a great pity really as my mother and grandmother's decorations are now unique rather than mass produced.

In reply to Pam. Isn't that always the way it is? To find things when you're on your way somewhere and can't stop? Last year I found a wooden sleigh someone was throwing away, and I was all dressed up going to a fancy Christmas shindig. I said to myself, I would get it on the way back. But then I said to myself, it might not BE here, so I turned around and picked it up...somehow...without messing up the clothes.

In reply to Laurie. Thank you! I just found that Tom & Jerry bowl set last year at Christmastime and I love it! I need to figure out ho to make Tom & Jerry's though. Maybe the non-alcohol kind.
